Project Overview

Hydrosys supplied high-pressure cylinder burst testing and fatigue testing equipment for a large cylinder manufacturer in Shanghai. The project was designed to support reliable testing of high-pressure gas cylinders, including hydrostatic burst testing, pressure cycling, pressure holding, and automated safety interlock control.

The equipment has passed the customer’s strict third-party internal audit and certification process, demonstrating stable performance and reliable operation in demanding cylinder testing applications.

Burst Testing Equipment

The hydrostatic burst testing machine is designed for high-pressure cylinder burst tests and can achieve pressure boosting up to 420 MPa. The pressure rise rate is adjustable, with a maximum rate of ≤1.4 MPa/s, while the pressure control accuracy reaches ≤±1% F.S.

The system can test cylinders with a maximum nominal pressure of 70 MPa and a maximum nominal volume of 690 L. With stable operation and efficient testing performance, the equipment can support a daily burst testing capacity of 6–8 cylinders.

Fatigue Testing Equipment

The cylinder fatigue testing system supports test workpieces with a volume of up to 450 L. Its core high-pressure unit pressurizes water up to 87.5 MPa and delivers stable pressure output. The system is supplied as a skid-mounted unit, making installation and integration more convenient.

The fatigue pulse unit enables automatic control of pressure cycling, pressure holding, and related test processes. It also integrates safety interlock functions to help ensure stable and safe operation during long-term fatigue testing.
